A lover of good coffee, sighthounds, and all things fall weather

In my practice, I work with adults who have experienced chronic or repeated trauma. This could be childhood attachment trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, or other events that have resulted in you feeling vulnerable, unprotected, and emotionally wounded.
I'm passionate about supporting clients as they begin to identify emotions, set goals, heal, and create a path forward. I help clients get to the root of their problems and find lasting solutions. I understand the impact trauma has on your life and how it feels to be stuck in old patterns and behaviors that don’t work.
Together, we break down barriers, name and address emotions, and construct a life that reflects your authentic self. We work together in a healing environment to explore your personal experiences, evaluate their role in your current life, and create space for you to rebuild and thrive.

Attachment-based, emotion-focused, psychodynamic therapy tailored to your experiences

My promise to you

From our first encounter, I will be real and transparent with you. I will take the time to understand what is important to you, what your goals for therapy are, and what you hope to get out of each session so I can tailor my approach to your needs. I'll do this with a genuine desire to help you achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life. I'll be honest in my feedback and I'll challenge your perspective to help you explore your beliefs about yourself. I'll always be supportive and maintain a safe place for you to be vulnerable.

Therapy can be incredibly challenging and painful. It can involve digging into the past and discussing topics that are deeply personal. You might try to avoid the tough conversations, and that's ok. I care about your healing and well-being. Your story is important and I'm committed to treating you as a whole person. I will support you in your healing and growth throughout our time together. We'll take the time we need to explore your concerns, and how they relate to other areas of your life.

Therapy doesn't change you, therapy changes your feelings, emotions, and ability to see yourself in a different light. In our sessions you are heard, seen, respected, and validated. Our work together will help you to recognize your value and provide you with tools to build upon that. Your feelings of guilt and shame will be replaced with confidence as you begin to accept yourself without judgment. With time, you will learn to love yourself, set healthy boundaries, practice self-care, and prioritize your well-being.
